Awesome! We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize
it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't.
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, there will always be sunshine, after the rain....
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall; But God's always ready, to answer your call.....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear, a word from His lips, can calm every fear...
Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night, But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light...
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above, to give you His grace, and send you His love...

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

... and you question ... God "why me"
always look at the bigger picture ... A day without the Lord- Is a day wasted.
God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor. If you believe, send this to ten people. DO NOT IGNORE HIM!

When you feel like giving up, think of this man.

If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?

If your society is unfair to you, how about her?

Care for A Better Life?

Take a 10-30 minute walk everyday and while you walk, smile.

Sit in silence at least 10 minutes each day.

When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is to ... today."

Live with the 3 E's ... Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy, and the 3 F's ... Faith, Family, Friends.

Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 7.

Try to make at least 3 people smile each day.

Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn, pass all your tests. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lesson you learn will last a lifetime.

Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.

Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagreements.

Make peace with your past, so it won't mess up the present.

Don't compare your life with others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

Burn the candles, use the nice sheets. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

Forgive everyone for everything.

What other people think of you is none of your business.

Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.

However a good or bad a situation is, it will change.

Get rid of anything isn't useful, beautiful and joyful.

No matter what you feel, get up dress up and show up.

Call your family often.

Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: "I am thankful for ..." "Today I accomplished."

Remember that you are blessed to be stressed.

The best is yet to come.

My Action Plan for 2010

Salvador - Boy Scout
I'd get involved in more extra-curricular activities. Joining an organization could expose me more to current issues in society. That could help me choose a career which I can really use to help people.

Lately for certain reasons, my family haven't been doing things together often. Maybe we could improve on that.

Romarx - 4th Year High School
I should be more responsible in the budgeting of my time, more involved with my studies, and more concerned with others. I want to get a lot of ideas and discover many things.

Since I'll be entering college, I should know more about my country. High school life would be over so I have to be more mature too. I'd help in shaping social events.

Robert - Commerce Student
I have inferiority complex. Whenever I am with English-speaking people, I feel awkward. I don't express my ideas well. And I'm bothered.

Well, since I have just undergone leadership training, I have decided to be more aggressive this year. That means I have to speak out my mind and do what I think is right, even if others think otherwise. That can mean sacrificing some other things, but that's okay. Months back, I lost my girlfriend because I was really busy with this leadership training. But as I have said, it's okay. At my age, I feel I'm not supposed to get serious with girls. Right now I'm more concerned with developing my leadership abilities.

Nicole - Phil Am
Boyfriend this year? I don't think so. I'd like to continue my studies in the States. It's going to be rather competitive there so my focus should be on my studies. So I think I'm not yet ready for that kind of relationship. And frankly I don't think I'm interested. When a guy starts to approach me, I would panic. That's the way I feel sometimes.

As of now, I really enjoy having many friends. Having a special someone would really restrict you to one person most of the time. I mean you're stuck to him most of the day except when he's not around. I don't think I want that.

I'm older this year. So I want to be able to act my age and be a better person, more mature, more confident, more sensitive, and more concerned about society and other people.

Ways to Happy Holy-days

Laughter. Carols. Bells. All sounds of Christmas. They brighten lonely days and lonely lives.

There are other sounds of Christmas - cliches that do not brighten:

"Christmas is too commercialized."
"Christmas is depressing. It just isn't what it used to be."

These sounds are usually followed with a sigh and a "Well, there's nothing we can do about it."

Hold it right there. Following is a proven plan to help ensure your values.

1. Planning. Christmas does not sneak up on you. There are 12 full months between Christmases. Use them.
A friend of mine has several children and dozen of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. After a particular tiring Christmas, he did something about it. People laughed when he began hiding away gifts for the following Christmas - starting in January. They also laughed in April and August. But they didn't laughed in December. He took the month off from shopping while the rest of them hurried and spent more time and energy than they could afford.

2.Accepting. As a child, your Christmas was one of anticipation and joy of what would be given you. As an adult, your expectations may have to be readjusted. Your making Christmas success may come from what you can do for others rather than from what you receive.

3. Preparing. Instead complaining that Christmas is too commercial, make special preparations so it won't be!
Almarza family moved into a new neighborhood. They decorated their home inside and out, turning on Christmas lights the first of December.
The next year other neighbors decorated early. Then more and more. Now that modest neighborhood is a showcase.

4. Caring. In the hustle and bustle of getting ready, sometimes it's hard to see others who need love and care. But it's worth all the searching.

5. Giving. Everyone needs to be allowed to give. It is a basic desire from childhood to be able to give someone something. Receiving gifts as a part of the giver rather than for their actual value is what Christmas is all about.

6. Sharing. Everyone has something to give, even it's only a smile or a kind a word. Search the bottom of your heart and see what treasures are half-buried there that can be shared.
A certain family fights sickness, in a seemingly battle. There is never enough money to take care of much beyond the basic necessities of life. Yet that family shares abundant in the form of: time and cookies with residents of a nursing home; popcorn balls with a friend who dearly love them.
Another family doesn't have the time or the money to remember everyone with store to bought gifts. One year they made cupcakes, decorated them, and took them to several of their neighbors. Not a wealth of cupcakes that would obligate a like response, but one cupcake for each family member, along with a tiny tag reading "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and God bless with happy holy-days."

Controlling Your Temper

What can you do with a lighted match? Hold on to it until it burns your fingers? Give it a wild toss, not caring where it lands or whom it hurts? Neither! Why not simply blow it out?

I know a man who had a temper problem from the age of five. At eight he threw his chair through a window; at twenty-five he rammed his fist through his apartment door. He told me that one day around the age of thirty he decided he'd had enough of temper.

"Right then and there," he said, "I determined I was not going to let things get to me any more. I still start to get mad, all right, and then I think, "Oh, don't sweat the small stuff."

Gradually this man learned to keep his temper from building up to the point of danger to himself and the disgust of others. He begun to focus the energy he had once wasted on temper into worthwhile goals and soon discovered he had exceptional talent for management and leadership. Today he has an excellent job and a happy family.

The happiness of your family, your job, your friendship, your life, may depend on your mastering temper temptation.

Re-evaluate your past experiences with temper. Think back to some of your last temper flings. Did they accomplish anything? In retrospect can you think of some better way you might have handled the situations? Are you proud of your behavior?

See yourself as others see you. Stand off and look at yourself as you must have appeared to others. The pictures aren't flattering, are they?

Make up your mind, right now, that the next time someone waves a red flag in your face you will force the adrenaline valve closed with the grip of your will.

Ask God to provide you strength, hour by hour if need be, to break your old habit patterns and establish new ones in their place. He can provide not only the strength needed but also the will to want to change.

Turn Defeat Into Victory

The difference between success and failure is found in one's attitude towards setbacks, discouragements, and other disappointing situations.
If you do exactly what successful people do, you will get the same results.
If you have just started in your job or want to perform better, study the winners, the best, and copy what they do.
Every winner can be identified easily because of his or her positive mental attitude to win every time.
Winners expect to win. They know that so called "Luck" is the intersection of preparation and awareness.

While most are dreaming of success, winners wake up and work hard to achieve it.

Winner: one that is successful especially through ability and hard work.

Doubters don't win. Winners don't doubt.

Winners are goal and role oriented. They set and get what they want consistently.

Losers live in the past. Winners learn from the past and enjoy working in the present towards the future.

Winners make it happen. Losers let it happen.

It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.

Start right now and commit yourself being a winner.

Time Management

I calendar my activities for the next day. In the morning, I just look at my list - and bingo! Thanks to Google Calendar.

Moreover, I set my priorities straight: God first, family next, work last. Before anything else, I offer myself to God first thing in the morning, and ask Him for guidance.

To get more out of my limited time, I don't mix office work with family responsibilities. I leave my business concerns at work and my personal and family troubles at home. I also try to simplify things and refrain from creating additional problems. I have a lot of them already and solving them can eat much of my time.
